The dedication to one's guild can vary wildly from person to person, but for Etrata, the Dimir truly are nothing but a means to an end. She has no interest in serving her house and lives only to become the greatest spy and assassin on all of Ravnica. She doesn't care for the Dimir leader Lazav either, as she finds him too ambitious, which the guild master might argue is hypocritical given Etrata's own goals. Once she gets around to killing the shapeshifter, she won't have to worry about that kind of backtalk.
